Name your wish..

Name your wish & MINDFUL NECESSITIES may grant it. We've titled March 'Reciprocity Month' where we get to play out again immense gratitude for creativity, community and interconnection.
We are collecting wishes for items or workshops that inspire you and why. We keep hearing beautiful stories about how people are using our pieces to ground themselves in times of chaos or are using our work to find a practice for inner peace. We are all in this together. One community, one world, let's make it matter and make it beautiful. These stories inspire and keeps us going. We'd love to share some of those stories so others can find us.

•  Include the item name or link from our website of your wish piece.
•  The gift recipients and stories will be announced in our Museletter at the end of the month. Be sure you're signed up!

During a satsang with ShantiMayi someone asked the question for a magazine article she was writing on how spirituality can help the violence in the world.  ShantiMayi started with clarifying that in sanskrit, one of the oldest languages of scriptures there was no word for spiritual. Spiritual is life...

the gift and power of retreats
the gift and power of retreats

by Gisele Theriault March 10, 2019

Lately I've been thinking of why I feel so strongly about curating or attending retreats. There is nothing like a retreat to give us a focused opportunity to pull back from our life as we know it and all the demands and stresses that limit us.This in itself should be enough. To pull back far enough to be a witness and objective friend to our own lives is added sweet medicine. When we are away from routine and inspired it's easier to live between our heart and our gut (the second brain) and give the mind a vacation of its own for awhile.
